1. Introduction
Third Half, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Sideline mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our application.
2. Information We Collect

We may collect personal information that you provide directly to us, including but not limited to:
- Name and username
- Email address
- Profile information
- User preferences and settings
Usage Data
We automatically collect certain information about your device and how you interact with our application, including:
- Device information (model, operating system)
- App usage statistics
- Log data and analytics
YouTube API Services
Sideline uses YouTube API Services to help display YouTube videos, channels, metadata, thumbnails, and other YouTube content in the app where those features are available. By using Sideline features that include YouTube content, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
When Sideline uses YouTube API Services, we may access, collect, store, and otherwise use limited YouTube API data such as video IDs, channel IDs, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, publish dates, playback/embed availability, and related public metadata. If you connect a Google or YouTube account through OAuth, we may also process authorized YouTube account data only within the scopes you approve on Google's consent screen.
Our use of information received from YouTube API Services is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy. Sideline does not request, collect, or store your YouTube login credentials.
Android Age Signals
On Android, we may receive limited age-related signals from Google Play where required by applicable law or platform rules. These signals may include an age range, an age verification status, and, for supervised Google Account installs, a Play-generated install ID used for revoked approval compliance.
We use Google Play age-related signals only for legal compliance and age-appropriate experiences. We do not use these signals or install IDs for advertising, marketing, analytics, profiling, personalization, or general user identity.
Website Analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your use of our website, including:
- Pages visited and time spent on pages
- Browser type and version
- Device type and screen resolution
- Geographic location (country/city level)
- Referral source (how you arrived at our site)
This information is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of our website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage. For more information on how Google uses data, visit How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps.
You can opt-out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our services
- Communicate with you about the app and updates
- Respond to your requests and support needs
- Analyze usage patterns and improve user experience
- Ensure security and prevent fraud
- Comply with legal obligations and provide age-appropriate experiences where required
- Show, organize, and refresh YouTube videos and related metadata in supported Sideline experiences
Age-related signals from Google Play are handled separately from general analytics and product personalization. We do not persist age ranges or age verification status unless required for legal compliance. If we store a supervised install ID, we retain and use it only as needed for revoked approval compliance.
We use YouTube API data only to provide user-facing YouTube-related features, maintain those features, troubleshoot errors, protect the service, and comply with applicable YouTube API Services requirements. We do not use YouTube API data to create unrelated user profiles or for advertising.
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- With your consent
- With service providers who assist in our operations
- To comply with legal obligations
- To protect our rights and safety
When you view or interact with YouTube content, YouTube and Google may receive information as described in Google's and YouTube's terms and privacy policies. We do not sell YouTube API data or share authorized YouTube account data with third parties except as needed to operate Sideline, comply with law, or with your consent.
5. Data Retention, Deletion, and Revocation
We retain personal information only for as long as needed to provide Sideline, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
If Sideline stores YouTube API data, we refresh or delete it in accordance with the YouTube API Services Developer Policies. Public, non-authorized YouTube API data is not stored for more than 30 days without being refreshed or deleted. Authorized YouTube API data is kept only while needed for the purpose you approved and for no longer than 30 days unless refreshed under an active authorization.
You can request deletion of Sideline account data and stored YouTube-related data by contacting support@sideli.ne. We delete stored user data associated with your request as soon as possible and within 7 calendar days, unless retention is required by law or necessary for security, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution.
If you authorized Sideline to access Google or YouTube account data, you can revoke that access from your Google security settings at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. After revocation, we will delete YouTube API data stored pursuant to that authorization as soon as possible and within the timeframes required by the YouTube API Services Developer Policies.
Deleting data from Sideline does not delete data stored by YouTube. To delete content or account data from YouTube itself, use YouTube's own applications, settings, or an authorized YouTube client that supports that action.
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal information
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Opt-out of certain data processing
- Revoke Google or YouTube account authorization through Google security settings
8. Children's Privacy
Our service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Where applicable law or platform rules require age-related compliance measures, we may process limited Google Play age-related signals on Android as described in this Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
